Quarenga

Barcelona, Spain

Quarenga is 41 years old and currently lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. He is gay and a professional artist born in Russia. Even during his studies at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, as a young and very successful student, he was systematically faced unfair attitudes directed toward his worldview, the outward manifestations of his nature, and most importantly, to the themes of his creative works. He lost his membership in the Union of Artists, and exhibition for him in Russia is impossible for a number of reasons. Now that he is in Barcelona, his creativity and desire to work grows every day. He finds much inspiration in people, nature, and his new-found freedom. He wants to convey with his creativity that each of us is worthy of love and no one has the right to decide for us.
