Kate Jessop is a multi award winning animation filmmaker working across a variety of mediums including drawing, 2D animation and comedy, her work having had hundreds of screenings internationally. Themes explored include feminism and queer culture in both narrative shorts, drawing and multi award winning comedy series Tales From Pussy Willow. She is regarded as a pioneer of Queer Animation, creating ground breaking films showcasing the queer perspective through animation. She enjoyed her first retrospective in America at the Gilbert Baker Film Festival and was selected both as a director and with the series for the 2019 Berlinale Talent Lab.
