Since childhood Arthur Fama has been drawn to expressing himself through the visual arts. Although his professional career path took him in a different direction, he continued to develop his creative talent through courses at The Art Students League of New York, New York Academy of Art, Pratt Institute and with several local artists. His interest has been focused primarily on portraiture and the human form. He seeks to capture the immediacy of the moment in a way that invites the viewer to an intimate experience with the subject.
