Alan Spazzali was born in Trieste, Italy. He is a Dutch citizen of Italian origin and has lived in Tarragona, Spain. He acquired a Bachelors Degree from the Ecole Nationale Superieur des Beaux-Arts and the Ecole des Arts Decoratief in Paris and his post-graduation course at the Rietveld Modern Art Academy in Amsterdam.
