Christo is a textile designer by training, for fashion and furniture. He has long created textile patterns inspired by oriental influences, fantastic bestiaries and stylized floral elements for different brands. All the illustrations he proposes are marked by the textile pattern. He creates dreamlike, sometimes semi-autobiographical scenes where he uses lace, jouy canvas or tattoos to dress his characters. His work is influenced by the theme of travel in all its forms, the feeling of love, the couple. Mainly influenced by the male body and male/female ambiguity. He’s interested in the issue of gender and identity. He uses the techniques of engraving, digital printing, and screen printing on art paper.
