Born in 1961 in Harsewinkel/Germany, Thomas Schöne completed his training as a graphic designer at the Bertelsmann publishing group in 1982, followed by studies at the University of Applied Sciences Münster/Germany in the field of graphics and sculpture. In addition to his studies, he continued his education in traditional painting of the 19th century. In 1986 he became a freelance artist based in Munich and has since been recognized worldwide as a versatile artisan.
