David Jester received his BFA from VCU. Afterwards he received his MFA from Rutgers University. He currently lives in Palm Springs, California. This current series of paintings is of men in swimming pools. He was inspired by gay life online, but it has become so much more to him. He believes we are living in a time where being visible and proudly so is more important than ever. How we present ourselves to each other and how we treat each other plays a key role.
