Manolo Yanes was born and raised in the Canary Islands (Spain) and studied Art at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Art School. In 1979 he earned a bachelor’s degree in Art History at La Laguna University, Tenerife). He lives and works in France and Spain. Manolo always works in an aesthetic that tries to resolve the balance of the rational and precise with the expressiveness and it combines the classic with the contemporary. "Masculum - The Male Nude Project”, is the concept that includes his work on the male nude in recent years.
